The Oura Ring, one of our favorite fitness trackers and award winners, is currently at its lowest price ever. If you’ve considered one, now is the perfect time to buy one of our editors’ favorite wearable tech items.

When we tested the Oura Ring, we put it through its paces. We tested it over four months and compared it to top-of-the-line fitness trackers like the Apple Watch. For the first three months, we wore it all the time, including running, biking and at the gym (except when weight lifting). For the fourth month, we wore it solely at night for sleep tracking. At the end of our testing, we found it to be a great fitness tracker that is a fraction of the size of the one that might be currently sitting on your wrist.

The Oura Ring provides a hands-off experience; it is a device that’s roughly the size of a wedding band, albeit a bit thicker and can give you data insights without any hassle. It’s also a Giftable Tech award winner, thanks to its ability to track detailed sleep and recovery data, including heart rate, body temperature and respiratory rate. It retails for $299 and is currently on sale for $249, a 17% savings.

If you’re on the fence about the Oura Ring, NBC Select reporter Harry Rabinowitz says, “The Oura Ring is best for anyone who doesn’t want to wear something bulky on their wrist, but still wants to track some health and fitness habits. It delivers very accurate sleep and health data, and doesn’t require much input from the wearer.” During his testing, the battery life could last about a week, and it was incredibly easy to top it up by simply placing it on a charging dock.

The Oura Ring is an incredibly accurate sleep tracker. One of Rabinowitz’s favorite features was the sleep trends function. “With Sleep Trends, I can see changes in data points like my bedtime, time in bed and wake-up time, things I have more control over than stats like deep sleep and restfulness.” The Oura Ring also automatically detects when you start a workout. The ring also has a subscription service. Without a subscription, you can only see daily scores for sleep, activity and readiness, according to the brand. With it, you get full data history, detailed sleep analysis, advanced temperature monitoring, blood oxygen sensing and resilience data (complete membership benefits here). You can currently get the Oura Ring 3 on sale for $249, its lowest price ever.
